Immersive Art Salon

Mediale introduces the UK’s first Immersive Art Salon, a one day event at Sage Gateshead bringing together artists, curators, producers, technologists, gallerists and industry professionals in a dynamic environment. The event is a unique opportunity to meet and network with the diverse immersive arts scene including artists, companies and institutions in a professional setting.

The event will celebrate the culmination of The Immersive Assembly Vol. 3: Truth & Testimony, an innovative artist development programme for early-career digital artists, producers and creators, supported by the Jerwood Developing Artists Fund and Sage Gateshead.

The Salon will feature demos of new works designed by the Immersive Assembly cohort: Max Percy & Julia Merino Calleja, Lucy Wheeler & Dian Joy, and Guy Schofield & Tatiana Collet Apraxine, who have been in residence for 5 months, alongside other immersive projects.

The Salon will include a series of activities such as a panel discussion and networking activities to give participants opportunities to meet each other, disseminate their work, create new connections and open avenues for collaboration and future work. The networking activities will include an open mic session, project demos, an opportunity board and curated networking spaces. The full programme, including panellists and demonstrations, is TBC and will be shared with attendees prior to the event.
