The Tides Within Us

‘The Tides Within Us’ is a new commission from one of the world’s leading immersive art collectives, Marshmallow Laser Feast, which explores the journey of oxygen from lungs to the heart and body in a series of installations that echo the ecosystem within nature. Together with ‘Limina’ by Rachel Goodyear and Kelly Richardson’s ‘Embers and the Giants’ they form Human Nature, jointly curated by York Mediale and York Museums Trust.

This internationally significant new media art exhibition was explored notions of separation between humans, our environment and technology. With quiet contemplation, we take a journey into the ecosystem of our own lives and experiences. Revealing how our bodies are hardwired, synchronised and inextricably linked to nature.

The Tides Within Us later went on n to form a central piece of Marshmallow Laser Feast’s larger installation as part of Coventry City of Culture 2021 in Summer 2021, Observations On Being.
