Don’t miss the chance to be a part of a world premiere artwork happening in York this autumn

Producers York Mediale are looking for a diverse range of York residents to take part in a captivating new installation. 

Beautiful, moving and timely, People We Love is a brand new artwork by York-based collective KMA.

The work is five, floor mounted, high definition screens displaying a video portrait of a York citizen.  Each person will be gazing at a picture of someone they love, a picture the audience will never see. Subjects will be on screen for a few minutes, before being replaced by a new face.

Feel each unspoken story as the faces tell the tale of a person they love.

Filming is due to take place on the 16-18 September in York city centre. Applicants must be aged 10+ (under 18s with an appropriate adult) and available for filming on these dates. The installation, which is due to tour the world, will use the portraits every time it goes on display, so participants need to be aware that their image may be seen all over the globe!

How to enter

To have a chance of taking part please email a photograph along with your availability on 16, 17 or 18 September to PWL@yorkmediale.com by the 9th of September. 

Please note that we can only respond to successful applicants and that all submitted photos will be destroyed.
