Florencia Curci

Summary

Florencia Curci is a drummer, sound & radio artist and curator based in Buenos Aires. Her work focuses on noise and rhythms as relative concepts that configure perception, communication and subjectivity. Her work was commissioned by Centro Cultural Kirchner, Cultural San Martín, Medialab Prado, Tsonami Festival, Aural Festival, Kunst Radio and Mayhem, amongst others.

Florencia completed her studies in Expanded Music at the UNSAM University, and she was part of the Artists’ Program of the Torcuato di Tella University. Since 2017 she is Director and main curator of CASo, an institution that promotes research, production and writing on sound art and listening.

Florencia is also part of Investigaciones del Futuro (IF), a non-specific institution run by artists and architects that encourages projects in sound and spatial practices, situated research and collective actions, always working from practice to theory.
